Modeling

Hope you have enjoyed your long weekend as you head back to school for the last few weeks of the school year. Many seniors have graduated already and more are set to this weekend. This means one thing for juniors, next year you will be SENIORS!

As summer quickly approaches you are probably thinking about having your senior photos done. You certainly have many photographers to choose from and you are probably receiving information now about special offers and opportunities to model for many studios in southern Ohio. You may also wonder why McManis Photography has never offered a modeling program. Maybe not.

We have read many of the applications to model for various studios and we can't help but notice the profiling by studios in determining who is worthy to model for them. Applications ask questions like: What type of clothing do you like to wear? What type of music do you listen to? What activities are you involved in? Do you belong to a youth group, 4H or other activity? All those things are well and good but we understand that every senior is unique and choose not to pick and choose who can and who can't model for us. Which is why we want to give everyone of you the opportunity to "model" for us yet still offer you some of the same offers as others.

If you call McManis Photography and schedule your session before July 1, 2009 we will waive your session fee. We will offer you a full indoor/outdoor session with no sitting fee to try us out. We will post your proofs online and if you don't like your photos you are under no obligation to purchase a package and you haven't spent a dime. You don't have to sign a contract stating that you will only model for us and so on.

If satisfied and you begin sending your friends to us we will reward you with free prints or an additional session during a different season. Or you could build up enough rewards to earn specialized products like senior frames, leather folios or other specialized products.

We're not saying modeling programs are a bad thing, we're just saying we are not going to pick and choose which of you can work for us to earn our products. Call us now to schedule your summer session. 740.395.1515 or email tom@mcmanisphotography.com

Studio Dancing

Hope you are having a great weekend! Welcome to McManis Photography's blog. I suppose its time we join the blogger crowd and start communicating with you this way too. We plan on blogging at least once a week or more often as we have time. Each week we may offer updates, specials or just that weeks photo we wish to share with you. Our wish is to demonstrate how we can express to others your skills and talents through our talent....photography.

Kevin came to McManis Photography and just needed a few pics before graduation. We did the typical head and shoulders shots and were ready to end the session. Kevin doesn't play football or really have any major hobbies, however, he's an incredible dancer. Hoping to capture his talent on camera, we put on some music and he began to bust out a few moves. The photo at the top of this is a collage of some of his moves. The graphic used in the letters of his name are from one of his t-shirts. Based on situations beyond our control we were unable to go outside to finish his session but we had fun inside and still captured some great photos to express who Kevin is.

Who says you can't have fun in the studio?

Below you will see Jessica and Elizabeth crankin' Soulja Boy. We didn't necessarily use this as a proof, so we didn't edit it, but it captured the fun we had in the studio that day. Note the ring pops in their hands.
